About Lyratek Arts
Lyratek Arts was founded in 1996 by Martin Izsak,
as a means of furthering his many multimedia projects.
"Early on, we focused most of our energy on computer game
research and development, but we always knew that this was
only one of our talents which we wished to explore through
this business,"
explains Martin. "Music was another obvious
avenue for us, thanks in large part to the growing library of my own
instrumental works that I brought to the company. Harmonic Odyssey
is the company's first CD album of my music, a collection including
a wide variety of original songs from semi-classical to new age synthpop.
"For us, art and creation really boil down to emotion and awareness.
When we create something, we're aiming to strike specific emotional
chords within people, and/or make them notice something in our world that
they may not have been aware of before, something that we feel deserves
closer examination. Thematic links are crucial to every project
we work on, and a key part of our inspiration.
"We found it very easy to work with the people at Independant Records,
our official record company label. And it was a real pleasure working
with the warm and friendly folks at The Digitial Sunspot in Windsor,
Ontario, Canada, who brokered the CD replication process for us.
"Our company is named after the constellation Lyra (which we pronounce
`Leer-ah'), and the concept of technology-based arts, which is what we
are involved in."
However, the company enjoys being surrounded by a natural rural environment
in beautiful Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. "That reminds us that we're all
still part of nature and the Earth. :-)"
"We aim to celebrate the diversity of the universe, exploring its cultures
and the common threads that unite them. We believe there's plenty of scope
there to create fascinating works which everyone can enjoy."
