Sweeping emotions fit for grand epic story-telling.
A unique blend of new age synth pop, classical music, colourful &
energetic rock tunes. Complete instrumental ecstasy.
We welcome you to enjoy
Martin Izsak's debut CD, "Harmonic Odyssey".
What might it sound like if someone composed songs in the style of
Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of 1970's pop/rock group
ABBA, but performed them instrumentally like Yanni?
What if quieter Enya-like pieces were included as well?
What if the themes began to intertwine themselves between songs like
a movie score? And what if experimental sounds and
cues from ancient cultures were used to give it more
of a New Age feel?
The answer is that it might begin to sound something like
"Harmonic Odyssey", an instrumental music CD featuring 19
thematically linked
songs that strike a range of emotional chords and styles.
"I definitely love to use memorable melodies, catchy bass-lines,
and grand orchestral ambiences as main ingredients in my
compositions," says "Harmonic Odyssey" composer/performer/producer
Martin Izsak.
"Harmonic Odyssey" is a completely instrumental album.
The music was created on synthesizers, using a
virtual orchestra of strings, guitar, bass,
flute, clarinet, trombone, french horn,
wordless choir, piano, harpsichord, and drums.
The pieces also feature many newly created
synthetic instrument sounds.
But musical satisfaction is all in the ear of the beholder.
"I designed these songs based on what I most wanted to hear
in instrumental music," says Martin. "And through the CD,
I can now share that enjoyment with others."
